- Portfolios will be turned in and graded at each exam.
- You will need one 100 page college ruled spiral bound notebook for your portfolio. All work for portfolios needs to be completed in the notebook. It is not necessary to print the worksheets themselves.
- Your work must be neatly presented and readable.
- Several activities for your portfolios will require a short essay. These will be graded for grammer and spelling as well as completeness of your answers.
- Problem solving should be done vertically, with each step a logical progression of what came before. I do not insist on any particular method, but I do insist on enough steps to communicate what you have done.
- All explanations must be thorough (that is, do not assume I know what you're talking about. Explain what you have done as if you were explaining the problem to a fellow student). Explanations must be written in complete sentences.
- If a problem requires a graph as part of the analysis/solution, the graph must be drawn on graph paper, clearly labelled and include scales. The graph should then be stapled to a page in your notebook.
- All work for portfolios is to be completed individually. These are not group projects and should not be worked on with members or your success team or other students.

- Write a short paragraph describing how much time you have spent studying and what you have done or will do to prepare for the exam.

- Read The Late Paper and complete the questions at the end.
- Complete the Progress Reports in your textbook on pages 69 and 95. The answers need to be in your portfolio, not in your textbook.
- Write a short paragraph detailing how well you are meeting your goals for this semester and what steps you are taking or should take to meet them.

- Go over your course goals and check your grade on canvas then complete the Midterm Reality Check
